We left the amazing Plitvice National Park this morning and drove about 3 hours to Split.
Split is the second-largest city of Croatia, the largest city in Dalmatia and the largest city on the Croatian coast. The city also gained international fame as a filming location for the popular TV series Game of Thrones. Diocletian’s Palace was used as the setting for the city of Meereen.
We found a parking near the Old Town and went for a quick look around. In the heart of the Old Town is the Diocletian’s Palace and talk about being in the right place at the right time. Just as we entered the palace courtyard a small band started playing music followed by a little performance.
After a quick bite we headed to our Airbnb not too far away and just chilled for the rest of the afternoon.
