Nice

Jun 1, 2023

After the stop in Saint Tropez on the way, we arrived in Nice late afternoon again.

The next morning we headed into town and parked the car right in the heart of the old town.

Vieux Nice is the city’s historic district and you can easily spent hours wandering through the narrow streets with its colourful architecture and a cafe around every corner.

We then walked up La Colline du Château (Castle Hill) located on the Eastern side of Promenade des Anglais, overlooking Old Nice and its port. This hill offers beautiful views of Nice and the Baie des Anges – the bay of angels.

Coming down on the other side of the hill, we visited the Old Port and stopped for a coffee. We walked along the Promenade des Anglais – the seaside promenade – back to the car.

Next stop: Monaco

  1. Hi. This is Sasha -Jenny and Denis’ daughter. We are in Europe at the moment. We leave Geneva tomorrow for Nice. Any hints for restaurants or cafes. You are doing similar to us. We are also heading to Rome, Florence and split. I would love any hints for there too. Your photos are amazing. Enjoy your trip.

    • Hi Sasha, thanks for checking in and commenting on our blog! Nice is lovely and you can spend hours walking through the narrow alleys. You will find dozens of cafes and restaurants around every corner. There is so much to chose from – depending on taste and budget. The same goes for Rome, Florence and Split. Enjoy your trip too!
