Today was a nice, sunny day and we started our outing at Linderhof Palace – a beautiful palace built by King Ludwig II in the forest.
We then visited Füssen – a charming town in Bavaria, known for its picturesque location at the foothills of the Alps. It is also popular starting point for exploring the nearby castles – Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.
Neuschwanstein Castle, one of the most famous castles in the world, is an iconic fairy-tale castle built in the 19th century by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and served as his personal retreat.
Hohenschwangau Castle, located near the Neuschwanstein Castle, was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II. It was reconstructed in the 19th century and served as a summer retreat for the royal family.
