We crossed the border into our 18th country and are staying in Garmisch-Partenkirche in the south of Germany.
On Monday morning, we decided to head into Munich – just over an hour drive.
We started our day out at Marienplatz – the central town square and was just in time for the famous Glockenspiel.
Just around the corner is the Frauenkirche, also known as the Cathedral of Our Blessed Lady and a short walk away, the Viktualienmarkt, a lively outdoor food market.
No visit to Munich is complete without experiencing a traditional Bavarian beer hall. We finished our sightseeing at the world famous Hofbräuhaus for a local brew in the beer garden while the Umpah band was playing in the background.
