Monday was a beautiful sunny day, so we took the ferry across to Central Station Amsterdam where we started our day of sightseeing.
A fitting way to explore the city is with a canal cruise, so we went on a 75 minute cruise. Amsterdam is built on a network of canals, and there are more than 100km of canals within the city. The city has more bridges than Venice, Italy, with over 1,500 bridges connecting its canals.
We had a wonderful time staying with Henk, Adri and their two boys.
